Who am I?
I have a passion for helping students embark on their higher education journey, and I have over 15 years of experience in college admissions. I am dedicated to guiding prospective students and their families through the admissions process. As the Director of First-Year Admission, I am committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and intellectually vibrant student body. I truly understand the challenges that students face during the college selection process, and I strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of those I serves.
When I was a student here I was a member of the swim team, a student tour guide, and an active member of the UMW community. Today, I try to give back to the institution that laid the foundation for my journey to become the person I am today.

Why Mary Washington?
Mary Washington has been my home since before many of you were born. After graduating from UMW, I wasn't ready to leave the place that has shaped me into the adult that I am today. From my visit to campus back in November 2003 to today, I still see the same thing that makes UMW a special place - and that is the community we have.
Many people will tell you that community is their why and sometimes it's hard to put into words what that means, but for me it's the people. Our students, faculty, and staff care for each other. Faculty will challenge you academically and cheer you on in your co-curricular sports they are invested in your future. Your interactions with staff on campus are similar we cheer you on during at research presentations, sporting events, on stage, and when you need that extra boost that you can do it! Our students are collaborative and work together instead of against one another.
It truly is a place that feels like home and, did you see all the buildings match? I love that about our campus too, it's beautiful in every season!

What's one thing more people should know about UMW?
Even though we are a smaller school, students who come here have more academic and co-curricular opportunities. You want to be a leader? Do it. You want to participate in research? Talk to your professor. You want to try something new? Absolutely. You want take a class because the topic sounds interesting? Do that, too.
UMW allows you to have experiences you haven't had before and make those opportunities accessible for everyone!
